About Baby and Me

Postnatal and Lactation Care

I started Baby and Me after becoming disheartened by the lack of consistent, meaningful support available to families in the early postnatal period. I saw too many instances of fragmented care, conflicting advice, and unnecessary medical interventions—for both mums and their babies. What stayed with me were the faces of new parents: anxious, overwhelmed, and unsure of who or what to trust.

There was too much emphasis on checklists and weight charts, and not enough time spent with families—to watch a feed, guide settling techniques, or provide hands-on help with the challenges of early parenting. Many parents were left doubting themselves and their instincts.

Baby and Me was created to change that. It’s a unique service that brings together Midwifery, Child Health Nursing, and Lactation Consultant care to offer consistent, personalised support. This might begin with a phone call, a home visit, regular check-ins, telehealth sessions—or all of the above. Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, I tailor every interaction to meet your needs, your way.

All services are fully covered by Medicare for the first 6 weeks and 6 days postpartum—ensuring families can access high-quality support during this crucial time, without added financial pressure.
